The Asphalt Amazons: Katreen Wikström/Sandra Costa/Erika Acosta (Sweden)
This inseparable trio are pretty much single handedly showing the world
that womens skateboarding is every bit as fun, fast, watchable and competitive as mens. Between them they skate downhill, free ride, slide,
park and bowls - so that's pretty much everything! There's also time
for a bit of surfing in there as well, and they are a pretty well traveled lot - this summer's trip list includes free rides, races and
reefs from Are in northern Sweden to Montreal in Canada, and pretty
much everywhere in between. They stand out at every event they go to or organize thanks to their fast skating and super friendly nature - the
only thing more important to them than skating is friendship! Be sure
to say hello if you see them at the next race.
